When a .ch domain expires
SWITCH RDAP for .ch and .li returns a registration date and the status. It does not return an expiry date. That is how the registry publishes data, not a failed lookup.
The holder sees the expiry date at the registrar or in the SWITCH domain portal. Someone who does not hold the domain does not get that date there.
RDAP still shows whether the domain has a special status, for example clientHold. Whether the name resolves in DNS is a separate check.
A .com domain is different: the expiry date is in the RDAP expiration event.
